Favouritism damages civil society. An influential person must also be judged by whether or not he grants favouritism. An influential person must not grant favouritism either in exchange for private concessions or simply for exhibitionism, as can happen in unhealthy political environments where questions of principle do not coincide with real justice. Justice is not a favour or a concession, but a duty towards the individual and the entire civil society. For this reason, impartiality and respect for the rules are moral duties for everyone.
