There is no better way to describe the evil of our times than to use Christian language: idolatry. Idolatry makes us brutes, incapable of reasoning, slaves to our base impulses. Idolatry is the cause of the superficiality and wickedness of our times, fertile ground for the mafia culture. It hides everywhere, even among believers and especially among institutions. It is therefore essential not to let ourselves be overwhelmed by appearances and have the courage to measure reality with our own eyes. Be wary above all of those who sow hatred by hiding behind the mask of the hero or benefactor.
