The piovra
The mafia culture is inexorable precisely because the mafiosi act only in numerical dominance.
It’s not just the brutality with which they attack innocent victims. Violence comes only at the end. After the persecution, spontaneous and obvious, in southern Italy, exactly like the cult of evil that generates it.
Italian society works the opposite of civil society because many people hinder the moral integrity and constructiveness of others. Do these people constitute the majority of the country or are they simply devious enough to achieve the result of paralyzing civil society? Because this is precisely the strength of the mafia: being able to slow down the normal course of the professional activity of others and also of the social life of others to the point of paralysis. Any tool is permitted for this purpose without, generally, restrictive state action. There is no need to explain to Italians how much bureaucracy can help paralyzing people in their professional and social lives, even inside hospitals, without any respect for human life, just like the piovra which adequately represents the mafia culture.
It is not easy to understand, however, how Italians act simply because of their immoral and criminal nature. There is not always a real planning: quite simply, deserving individuals in any field, from the professional to that of human solidarity, are targeted and hindered in every way and the truth suffers the same inexorable fate. Lies have short legs but complicit silences block the truth which remains hidden until it becomes an ornament of the past. Italians learn to be a wall and not a support from a very young age because, here in Italy, merit and blame are reversed: only for this reason sloth and envy become so widespread as to constitute an example for future generations. In Italy there is a lack of deserving adults who can be an example for others. This is the country of the wicked people.
